B Series Plug Assembly Instructions
  • 1)Pass the cable through the strain-relief boot ①, rear nut ②, and cable collet ③ in sequence.

  • 2)Solder the conductors to the contact assembly ⑤ in the specified order.

  • 3)Fit the two-piece retaining ring ④ onto the soldered contact assembly. Ensure that the window in the retaining ring aligns with the corresponding projection on the contact assembly.

  • 4)Position the cable collet ③ correctly on the cable. Ensure that the projection on the cable collet aligns with the groove in the retaining ring ④.

  • Insert the contact assembly ⑤, retaining ring ④, and cable collet ③ into the plug shell assembly ⑥ in sequence. Ensure that the projection on the retaining ring aligns with the corresponding internal notch in the plug shell assembly.

  • 5)Tighten the rear nut ② onto the plug shell assembly ⑥.

  • 6)Fit the strain-relief boot ① over the corresponding shoulder of the rear nut ②.

Soldering Guidelines

✦ Match the cable outside diameter to the specified cable collet size.

✦ Match the conductor size to the contact termination diameter.

✦ For lead-free soldering, set the soldering iron temperature to approximately 380°C.

✦ Keep the soldering time below one second per contact.

✦ Insulate each soldered conductor with heat-shrink tubing.

✦ Protect the contacts and insulator from damage during soldering.
