Modern industrial automation systems require connectors that handle multiple communication protocols simultaneously — from low-speed sensor signals to high-speed Ethernet — while surviving continuous vibration, EMI, temperature cycling and chemical exposure on the factory floor. A single production line may need sensor connections (A-coded), fieldbus communication (B-coded), PROFINET IO (D-coded) and high-speed camera links (X-coded), all with IP67/IP68 protection for washdown environments.
WLconnectivity M12 connectors provide a unified circular connector platform covering all automation protocols.
A-coded 4/5/8-pin: Standard for proximity sensors, temperature probes, inductive sensors and actuators, up to 4A per pin.
B-coded 5-pin: PROFIBUS DP fieldbus for legacy automation networks.
D-coded 4-pin: 100Mbps Industrial Ethernet for PROFINET IO and EtherNet/IP field devices.
X-coded 8-pin: 10Gbps Cat6A for high-speed machine vision cameras and backbone Ethernet. All variants share the same M12×1 thread, enabling standardized panel cutouts and cable management across the entire factory.
Gold-plated copper alloy contacts (0.5μm min) for minimal contact resistance. PA66/PBT UL94 V-0 flame-retardant housing. IP67/IP68 multi-point silicone/FKM sealing. 5,000+ mating cycles. -40°C to +105°C operating range. Vibration resistance per IEC 60068-2-6. Available in assembly type (field-installable), molded type (pre-assembled with PVC/PUR/silicone cable), front-lock and rear-lock panel mount. Compatible with Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi, Beckhoff and other major PLC brands.
