Outdoor energy storage cabinets face extreme environmental challenges: rain, humidity, temperature swings from -40°C to +60°C ambient, UV exposure and vibration from adjacent equipment. The main power circuit between battery racks and PCS requires high-current connectors (20-30A) that maintain low contact resistance over years of outdoor service. PCS communication and EMS monitoring interfaces need multi-pin connectors that consolidate multiple signal paths while maintaining IP68 protection.

Main Power Circuit: DP21 2-3 pin high-current connectors (up to 30A per pin) for main DC bus connections between battery racks and PCS. Threaded locking ensures vibration-proof connections with IP68 protection for outdoor installation. PCS Communication: DP29 multi-pin connectors consolidating data exchange signals between PCS and BMS, supporting modular design for simplified field assembly and maintenance. EMS External Interface: DP29 multi-pin connectors aggregating monitoring, alarm and control signals to the energy management system. All DP connectors feature gold-plated contacts for long-term low-resistance connections in high-humidity environments.

WLconnectivity provides connectors at every level of the storage cabinet: Battery Module Level — A1002/A2001 wire-to-board for cell sampling (see combo-wtb-energy-bms). BMS System Level — A2501 board-to-board + DP21 multi-core for signal consolidation + ES01/ES04 floating blind-mate for high-power BMS. PCS & EMS Level — DP29 multi-pin for communication + DP21 high-current for power. Main Power — DP21/DP29 for DC bus + terminal blocks for distribution panel wiring.
